Application and purpose of Cell Culture Dishes
Cell Culture Dish is a sterile NEST test dish with permeable PC membrane, intended for advanced cell culture models vitro, such as studies of transport and permeation, cell migration and invasion, co-culture or epithelial polarization. Bottom with a microporous, permeable membrane allows simultaneous access to the apical and basolateral sides, which allows for better reproduction of physiological conditions in vivo and conduct experiments on epithelial, endothelial, immune cells, and tumor lines. The dishes are compatible with precise dosing using serological pipettes and with work in standard incubators and laminar flow cabinets.
PC membrane and TC-Treated surface
Cell Culture Dishes are equipped with a thin polycarbonate (PC) membrane with a pore diameter of 3 μm, characterized by high homogeneity, low protein adsorption and minimal autofluorescence, which favors reliable measurements and high-quality microscopic imaging. TC-Treated, plasma-modified, imparts hydrophilic properties and a negative charge to the substrate, significantly improving the adhesion and proliferation of adherent cells. This enables the creation of stable, homogeneous cell layers, ideal for quantitative analyses of transport and barrier function, especially when working with media and buffers prepared using sterile PES filters 0,22 μm.
Sterility, packaging and quality of materials
Each Cell Culture Dish is individually packaged in a sterile Tyvek® blister with a tear-off lid, which facilitates work in laminar flow cabinets and minimizes the risk of cross-contamination. The dishes are made of highly transparent, virgin polystyrene grade USP VI and sterilized by the method E-Beam (SAL 10⁻⁶)The products are non-pyrogenic, DNase- and RNase-free, and compliant with cellular toxicity testing requirements. Clear batch numbering ensures full traceability, and to maintain sterility and reproducible results throughout all stages of the process, it is recommended to use sterile pipette tips with filter.
